To continue helping its customers to consume energy less and better, Énergir introduced a number of enhancements to its energy efficiency programs on October 1:

More projects eligible for the solar preheating program
In the past, the solar preheating program was only available for preheating the air used for heating. As of October 1, the grant is now also available for preheating the air used for processes and for preheating water. All eligible projects can receive a grant of up to $200,000.

A larger grant for feasibility studies
The maximum financial assistance available from Énergir for a feasibility study has increased from $20,000 to $50,000 (with a maximum of 50% of total study costs). This amount helps you cover the costs of a study identifying ways to improve the energy efficiency of a building or process.

Smart thermostats: Up to $100 per device
The $100 smart thermostat grant is now open to all of Énergir’s business customers—not just to residential customers, as before. The $100 amount is offered to customers who buy and install a smart thermostat, as long as the grant does not exceed 75% of the cost of the device.
